I remember how we used to sing ‘Cai Sen Dao’ on top of our lungs, screaming around the town.
I remember how we chased the moon and had moonlight picnic.
I remember how the wind whispered by the helmet, sang for us.
I remember how the rain danced with you, for you.
I remember the trickling tears of joy.
I remember that plastic blue rose.
I remember many things. Fond things.
They are still etched to my memories.
People said we were mismatched.
But people do not know the many things.
I wish for many things.
But most of all, I wish I was a better friend.
I wish I could say sorry to you again.
Always this time of year.
Always in my dreams, you were smiling.
In that yellow shirt by the waterslide.
Maybe you have lived beyond that.
Maybe it faded away with the footprints.
Years will come and go.
I hope it will be better.
I hope I will feel better.
Thinking of you, and the smile.
I hope you are happy.
Wherever you are, however you are.
You will always be in my memory.
Always.
