Feeling accomplished.

Super empowering powerful day! Did so many things today I feel super accomplished. It could be the fact that I woke up super early today and not fall asleep by 9pm...yet.

Last weekend I went to Saratok for a cataract camp. It was a 4day 3night kind of mission, some sort of outreach to the more rural area in Sarawak. My mission was accomplished! All operations went well and smoothly. Not I did all the op laaaa, I only did the minor surgeries. Two other specialists were with me - they did the major ones. Thoroughly enjoyed doing a (although) small part to help people with my ability. I was as grateful for the opportunity as well as the patients were thankful to us for the service.

Selfie with the nurses.. Thank you for the good help!

Mission accomplished! Hanging out session with the rest of the crew...

Only downside of that mission was that I miss my baby girl terribly.... It would be 200% perfect if she could have been with me all that time... I missed her so much I had to watch her videos before I went to sleep and the first thing I woke up in the morning, just so to trick my brain that my baby girl was lying next to me like she always does, just so I don't cry so badly from missing her so so sibeh much.... So terribly teruk missing her right hahaha.. That was my very first time leaving her okay!!! *sniffles*

And while I was away at work, Dear Hubby single-handedly took care of Baby Maya!!! He was working also... And both of them survived!!! And he had done a fantastic job as well!!!!

*applause applause*
*bowing*

Hail to Dear Hubby!!! Super dad.... *hearts hearts*
Well done my love!!!
YOU MADE ME SO FREAKING PROUD!!!

I came home to a very happy smiley baby who apparently missed me so so much too because she did not allow me to leave her sight after that... LOLOLOL and I was super fine with that (and secretly pleasant too! Hahahaha).

Digressing...
Anyways... this weekend it is Dear Hubby's turn to have some personal time - cycling of course..... (what else right)

So, it is Baby and Mummy's weekend!!!
*supermum mode activated*
*selfie first laaaaa*

Woke up at crazy 6.30am (usually Sundays would indulge in sleeping in) but since the little monkey has already woken up and chattering noncomprehensible sounds, might as well seize the day! Spent a good half an hour snuggling and nuzzling my baby girl.... Ahhhhh what blissful start of the day it was already!!!

Mopped the floor and washed bottles. It was very impossible to clean the house with a very busybody infant crawling behind and everywhere. Hahaha! So I put her in her walker and made things worse because then she thought I was playing some sort of stick mop catch game with her. Hahaha! It was actually very amusing and enjoyable on my side too! Had the time to clean the balcony too.

Threw laundry into machine and bath baby girl. Super capably washed the bathroom also and then cleaned myself. Then prepare a hearty breakfast for the both of us. Put on kiddie songs and play play play with baby....

After she kepoh2 running here and there, chasing me (more like the mop).. Tired out with the 'strenuous' exercise.. Teeheeeheee!

While my princess was having her nap, I chopped and cut for our lunch - fish porridge. Fuss free, simple and very nutritious! The perfect menu for busy day like this doing chores... Then I hung the laundry and ironed our clothes. Only skipped one weekend and I was already cursing at the mountain-high clothes piled up in the basket needing ironing as I sweated away in the small room...

Baby woke up. Dropped everything else and went to feed her first.

Most valuable lesson of mummyhood that I can ever give to any of you new mummies -

A FULL BABY IS A HAPPY BABY.
A HAPPY BABY MAKES A HAPPY MUMMY.
A HAPPY MUMMY, COMES A HAPPY DADDY,
WELL... IT IS BASICALLY A HAPPY FAMILY.

Keep this omen in mind and you will be fine. :)

Nothing gives me more accomplished feeling that Baby Maya appreciatively finished up the bowl of porridge. And the baby biscuits. I'm a tad worry that she is quite the smaller size as compared to her peers but hey, if she is feeding well and active and happy, perhaps I shouldn't concentrate so much on that.

Bath time and play time again. Even taught baby a new thing - birds fly - today. We have a flock of birds that made their nests in our roof, so they sometime will fly and sit on our window sill. Sometimes they are good, sometimes they literally give me angry bird action on the window, which boils me up because I have to clean their sh*t. Literally. But today they are chirping and singing by our window on a sunny Sunday afternoon. And that was superbly nice.

See the way she gloriously pengsan-ed hahahahhahaha..... So cute! Quickly while she takes her afternoon nap, I did all my Internet snooping and scooping... :P

We took a 20-minute walk in the garden down our lovely apartment in the cool evening breeze. Went back home, bath time again and started our evening rituals. Finally my energetic lively precious went to dreamland and I had the time to prepare her lunches for the week, also to write this blog. :)

*phew*

What a day! Mostly domestic errands but that is my day. That is my routine now.
Sunday is the family day.

Another two hours to go, I better get some studying done before I join in the snoozing duo in the bedroom!

Have a good night people!

Baby's first lunar birthday in Sibu.

Last week we flew back to Sibu and her paternal grandparents threw baby girl a birthday dinner in a classy restaurant for her very first lunar birthday. Being the eldest grandkid of the Kangs, my father in law spared nothing. Eight dishes, seven tables and lots and lots of angpaos and expensive gifts.

Baby Maya is a rich baby, she can be my sugar baby!
Hahaha... Kidding!

Whole weekend I was simply beaming and glowing with pride when people repeatedly telling me that we have a very beautiful daughter, big eyes, so cheeky, cute baby etc etc etc.. "She looks more and more like you!". Can't help but gloat. Naturally. Haha! Baby Maya is my trophy. :)))) And Mummy loves parading her around!!! Everybody loves her :))))

Adorable or not her outfit!!??!!! SOOOOOO CUTEEEE ~~ Bought by her Ah Ma! So lovely~~
Polka dot (yes polka dots again!) long sleeves top and orangey pink denim dress from Hush Puppies, bright red dancing shoes from one of the shoe parlors in Sibu, hairband and cute pink polka dot socks that I bought online! Super kawaiii nehhhh.....

Naughty girl playing with her lucky blessed angpaos. She was so super active that night, as though she knew that it was HER NIGHT!!! :)) She was quite 'entertaining' to many guests in her honour.

Table layout. We had her lunar birthday dinner at Good Happiness Restaurant Sibu. Not bad, but a tad too cold. I asked them to switch off the aircond, 15 minutes later, someone would switch it back on. I had to go thru and back umpteen times asking the waiters and waitresses to switch off the aircond.
Baby Maya caught cold that night. Of course la! Stupid aircond.

The tiny VVIP of the night with her Ah Kong. This kid would surely be spoilt to bits by him. :DD

With her Ah Ma and grand aunt, who allowed her to chuck everything out from her branded bag. Which of course, she felt obligated to and she happily obliged. Haha. Purse, tissue paper, pen, papers, phone... everything out one by one.

Overall view from my side of the table. Taken with panoramic setting.

Family snaptime!!!

The dinner course that night:
Noodles and egg - customary for lunar birthday celebration. Means long life so something like that.
Nutritious herbal black chicken soup.
Cold dishes combination, served in a boat.
Sharkfin soup.
Steamed fish - Forgot to take picture of that big fish, also don't know what is the name.
 Pork with crusty vegetable popiahs.
Sea cucumber + abalone and broccoli in gravy. (yumzz)
BBQ ostrich meat with cheesy tiger prawns. (double yumzzz)
Fruit platter to end the course.

Baby also having her 'dinner'. Hehehe.... Nothing shine as bright as gold...
All kept in safety deposit box already, mummy (MY mum who will nag nonstop if I haven't done that). Yes, all of them. In the bank. Already.
:DDD

The parents of the birthday baby! *teehehee* I actually wanted to snap one with him in the background, but somehow he realised it and kinda picturebombed my picture!

Selfie of the night! Semestinya selfie~~~ Hahahhaa.....

The following day, selfie with great grandmother...

Morning brekkie with Ah Kong Ah Ma. Baby's sleepy face. The apple of their eyes la. *loves*

Safely reached CatsCity. Thank you MAS.
My baby girl so cute in this picture. Sometimes even though I see her everyday also I feel beh tahan wanna bite her! She started drooling so much again... (therefore the hankie) probably 'growing' teeth soon!!!

We will throw another birthday bash in her honour here in Kuching.
Oh, I hope it all goes well!

GoodBye 2014!

Ho Ho Ho~~~~
La La Laaaa....

Hi, here I reappear again!
Ta-da!!!

So many things have happened... but the biggest one is -----> YOURS TRULY IS PREGNANT!!!
Muahhahaha..... Second baby coming to join our mini Kang family... :DDD

When you did not ask for something and yet something was given to you....
Then, that is a gift...
And this is indeed a pleasant wonderful gift granted to us and we are so so soooooo very grateful!!!
I trust that You have plans for us and I thank You for everything that You have planned for us.

Dressing up for Christmas 2014... Super blur, I just realised. Sorry.. Just wanna parade my round round tummy actually... Hahahhha~~~
After that few awful months of first trimester, which mostly consist of me hurling my gut out, feeling sick the whole day, feeling sorry for myself, pondering why the heck is making a tiny human being so damn hard and wanting to slap Dear Hubby most of the times (sorry my dear,  it's true. How come only we women have to suffer for the continuity of our generation while the guys can leisurely go about their lives as normal as possible. Like continue to use the fruity Victoria Secret shower gel, like continue to spray that wooden sandal perfume, like continue to  eat without having to vomit them out again, like having their body parts just as they were, like having their body obey their commands. So yea, I was bitchy too then. Trust me, you will too if you have experienced puking rice and it came out from your nostril. Fml I know. Having a baby means your body is wrecked. Of course I hated his living gut. So sorry. You know I love you, in a weird way, at that time).

And then.... one fine beautiful day... everything bad stopped. Hmmmm.... second trimester came and so does the glow of happy pregnant me. :)))
Everything turned delightful and marvellous again.... Ahhhhh~~~
I started cooking and tending for my family again. I started to clean and do laundry. I started studying again. I started to like washing my hair again. Haha. I started to apply my facial products again. I started to drink water. Really. I started to enjoy bathing Maya Girl again. And dancing and singing with her again.
I started to feel like a human again...

Seriously so fat dy... Need to find new centre of balance everyday so that I don't topple over. Hahahha!

Before, the house was a mess. Dirty laundry would be stacked high up in piles..well, until Dear Hubby did them. Clean ones would be on the guest bed, not folded. We would have to rummage through that heap pyramid of clothes to find Maya Girl her PJs. Her toys were everywhere. In the room, in the drawers, in the toilet, in the kitchen, you name it. Bills were not settled. I barely have the energy to shower myself, trying not to let myself die from the smell of the body shampoo. And I had pimple outbreak like a raging hormonal teenager. Oily face oily scalp oily hair. Driving back home from work was quite the dangerous feat and then I would lie like a deadfish until the nausea have magically evaporated. Everything was a  big BIG challenge to the perfectionist OCD me. Yup, those were the dark days of first trimester. And therefore the months of absence from cyber space.. Hah~ I was even blessed with Maya Girl's cooperation when I most needed it...

And to think that I would have a big ZERO visitors to my blog after these months..
Yea, I was quite shocked... good kind of surprise to see that I do get many visits while I was off nursing my pregnant mind and body.

Thanks for the support!!!
Muah muah muah~~~

Just to recap... I'll post random pictures that I have taken over the course of these few months...

Taken from my frequent flying months.. Taken when I first realised we were blessed with another seedling inside of me...

Yea... I really really really do miss the thin me... I wonder sometimes if I can lose all my pregnant weight this time around..

My BFF's happily ever after big day... No, I wasn't drunk giving my maid of honour speech.. Took me a long time to compose the speech okay.. *sniff sniff* Maybe I will post my speech one day up here... :PP
She was soooo beautiful that night... So pretty...

Winter Solstice Tangyuen making in process, with my little helper who really gave no help...
I had to wipe and mop the place as that green cloth did no good. Maya Girl was too excited to roll the tangyuen, like playdough...

My first ever tangyuen that I made myself. First time ever. Without my mum's help, though I did kacau her with my frequent phone calls, bombarding her with questions. LOL.
In the end, I made the traditional tangyuen with ginger soup and a tinge of pandan leaf aroma.
Maybe next year I'll attempt the peanut one.

My proud gorgeous spread on Tangyuen day festival. Black pepper pork with seafood sambal and mixed vegetable. USA red grapes and tangyuen for dessert. Porridge for Maya Girl. :D

At my favourite place - Bella Italia for Christmas Dinner. We had juicy roasted turkey with cranberry sauce and some turkey pasta... :D Very the traditional Christmas meal...

I woke up on Christmas Day to find this beautiful stretch of gifts, nicely arranged. Dear Hubby always knows that I am a truly sucker for things like this. Haha... Even had a small mini Christmas tree as decor, because he had hijacked my exquisite tree to decorate his own practice!

Anyway, let's elaborate: A big hi-tea trolley play set for Maya Girl, iPhone 6 for him, that pretty classic velvety green box is for me, with a super sweet note attached. :)
Hard Rock Cafe Tokyo top and special edition Christmas Disneyland headband for Maya Girl from her beloved yiyi (along with other snacks and tidbits that LeSista spoiling us with...yum yumzzzz!!!) and a box of pretty pretty H&M dress for Maya Girl from her Ah Kong and Ah Ma. Lucky girl she! :DDD
That bottle of sparkling non-alcoholic grapefruit is for the both of us. :P

Ta-da!!! A full set of Crabtree & Evelyn Lily for me, inside that pretty green box.. YAY!!! I have always wanted to buy and try but never, because when you are a parent, you kinda no longer spend THAT kind of money on yourself as much. So thank you Dear Hubby! It smells heavenly lily!!!

Maya Girl ripped off her present first thing she got up and happily pushing her trolley around, force-feeding the both of us with her new plastic spoon and honey jar!! Hahahhaha!!! Blessed with her sleeping and behaving throughout our road trip back to Sibu for the Christmas.. :)))

The crazy orgasmic prawn mee of Sarikei, which I was absolutely craving all the way...
Super delicious, just as I remembered it..
Pricey (RM37 one bowl) but oh-so-freaking-worth-it!!!

And on the left, gingerbread marshmallow that I found in Cold Storage... Hahhaa...
I even brought along traditional fruit cake merely in spite of the celebration..

Visiting the snowman at night... :)

She kinda got thrilled with the props... Hehehe... We could't get a proper picture of us without her moving...

So cute right my little girl...
Growing up finely and so fast too!
Mummy loves you very much!!

Well..... 2014 is coming to an end now...
Pregnant mummy wanna tuck in...
But before that, let's see if I have managed to complete my 2014 resolutions...

1) I vowed to maintain my weight this year.... which never happened since I pregnant.. I am now 10kg heavier *OMG I know!*

2) I wanted to travel more in 2014.... I never really did unless you count that flying countless times to KL and back and to Sibu.. *no fun*

3) I wanted to host at least one party and be a good host... well, I did hosted Maya Girl's first birthday, but it was at a restaurant... Anyways, I hoped I did good...

4) One of my 2014 resolutions was "to carry Maya Girl each time she cries".... oh my, no wonder she 'owns' me now.. who makes such ridiculous resolution!!?!

5) I wanted to argue less and listen more in 2014... which was kinda hard to keep considering I got pregnant and such a perfect excuse to blame it all on the hormones.. Hah!

Geezzzz..... :))))

Perhaps I should stop making resolutions. Hahahah!
Let's just hope that all my 2015 resolutions (ya, I greedily and ambitiously wrote a whole long list.. Hahhaha...) will make it!!!
Gambateh~~~

Maya Girl holding a picture of us, when I was 5months pregnant with her.
Can't believe we are going to have our second child soon... Next year... :)))
Brought back so much of treasured memories and seeing her holding the picture tight like that... makes me teary... can't freaking help it...
Obviously it is the pregnant hormones causing the emotional me. Obviously.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015 PEOPLE!!!!
Hope 2015 will bring more good luck to Malaysia and to all!!!
