Happy Birthday to Me!

Super belated birthday to me.. *lalala*
I did have quite the superb birthday... *lalalala*
Thank you dear friends for all your kind wishes.. I'm bound to be happy for the rest of my life with the abundance of blessed wishes! *lalalalala*

Turned 29 earlier this week.
Wow... I'm old.

But I don't feel old. Which in a twisted kind of way quite confusing. Sometimes I don't know how a 29-year-old supposed to behave or should have owned or should have done or dress, for that matter.

I figure, I'd just live MY life My way, set my own rules and we shall see from there.

Flashing back to when I was 16, sitting behind the classroom with my best friend, talking about our futures. I still remembered parts of our conversation... How fun those"adults" 22-year-old working and driving their own cars and how anything above 25 sounded sooo "old" and then reassuring ourselves that those were "so far away so many years lagi don't think so much".

Bam! Here we are. And I have a child already. Everything that I have achieved seems so "adult" but sometimes I still feel like the sixteen, eighteen-year-old me. As though, nothing have changed! Oh well, young at heart they say!

Dear Hubby stumbled upon this selfie and exclaimed, "You seem like you never age at all! You still look like the 19yo girl I first saw in anatomy class. But now with better clothes and fashion sense".
Like I would ever let myself dress shabbily or out of style... Hahaha!!!
So this has officially become my favourite picture, ever!!! ❤️ Best compliment ❤️

*cheers to more 29 years to come!!!*
At least I know that all the money I splurged on cosmetic, product care for vanity was not in vain!
Always invest on yourself first!!!
You will never go wrong with that investment! Hahaha....

On my birthday eve, Dear Hubby prepared my all-time favourite breakfast (from when I was a medical student in Cold Moscow). Maggi curry instant noodle + egg + sausages, a cup of hot Nescafe and a side of magazine. So sweet my man!!!❤️❤️❤️

My dearest darling giving me one of her favourite mini teddy, although that was originally mine... Hahaha.. Oh well, she had given me an even more tactful gift that day - a rare 2.5-whole-hour afternoon nap, which gave me a joyful peaceful two-full-hour for myself!!! *best gift* ❤️
❤️This shiny new black-framed gorgeous glasses that I have been sporting recently.... is actually my early birthday pressie from Dear Hubby... ❤️

Me all geared up for the 'MOST IMPORTANT EVENT OF THE DAY'!!!!*cracking fingers*

Hahahaha... Bersemangat wake up for the free RM100 cash voucher at Parkson The Spring with purchase of RM300. LOL!!!! Inadvertently it was on my birthday eve!! ❤️ Perfect perfect!!!!

I was there at the strike of 10am, already there were many cars parked and soooooo many ladies mostly (like myself) at the cosmetic department liaoooo... Check out the queue for the voucher!!! *faint*
Gua queued up for more than one hour okay!!! But it was all WORTHWHILE because after that I have more to shop!!!

Very twisted financial advice, which would probably make me the worst example in finance class. "Spend to spend more? You, don't be like you anymore. The rest of you, don't follow her". Shoo me out of the class.
*Head up Chin up* Continue queueing.... No time like the present for a selfie!
Presents for myself! ❤️❤️ My buy that morning - pretty baby blue wedges from Hush Puppies and primer make up base + moisturiser essence (small size) from Laneige.

Then we headed to Manhattan Fish Market for lunch. Heavenly creamy garlic herb mussel with bread and a heartful tasteful garden salad for starters. Followed by FLAMING SEAFOOD platter!!! *burp*
This man who never failed to surprise me... He brought me balloons this year!!! With smiley faces.. *teehehehheee* I love him! ❤️❤️❤️

Outfit of the day.. New chocolate knee length skirt with loose ruffles on the sides with a black modest simple top. And a pair of heels to match! No, I did not take a day off.. My mum LeHomemaker probably did, 29 years ago. Hahaha...

The loves of my life! Brought me out to celebrate birthday dinner at FullHouse, the new upcoming cafe at CityOne Mall. Very girlie with its white pristine layout of the two-storey shop. Very heavily K-pop cutesy themed decors. *me likey likey*

As you can see here, the sofa is of white leather. White table tops. White lanterns dotting the area giving out a very cozy ambience. Crystal chandeliers hanging from the top with flowing dreamy white curtains giving much of the princessy-in-a-castle kind of vibe.

Our drinks of the night! Mojito and Honey Pomelo. Note the details - cute stirrer and straws!

Mushroom soup with crunchy almond flakes. I am a mushroom soup fanatic and THIS ABSOLUTELY ROCKED!!! ❤️Can even bite the chunky mushroom bits!!!
Layout of our meal of the night - Korean-style soft shell crab with glass noodle and kimchi on the side for him while I had FullHouse famous chicken chop with mashed potato and greens.

OMG!!! SUPER DELECTABLE SUPER DELICIOUS!!! ❤️ I don't know what dark brown sauce what Korean recipe was that, but it was sooooooo yummy!!! ❤️
Both of us still couldn't figured out what that round round thing was - not nut, not pea. Tasted like grapes? What a special thing to be in a sauce. Well, perhaps that explains the yummiliciousness of it!!!

Happy family at Full House!!!

A 'PMS' situation

First of all, if you are a guy reading this blog post and are not a open-minded one, you can close this page. And kindly spare me your agonizing thoughts.

"Wah.. Lai liao... PMS liao..."
"Moody.. Maybe she PMS today..."
"Eh... you PMS ah?"

My dear female readers,
I bet the above derogating contemptuous expressions sound familiar to many of us.

Why is it that a decent adult healthy discussion can ended up with a totally unnecessary 'PMS' comment?
Why is it that some men think that they can, or need to, resort to the 'PMS' snide comment, especially when they are at their etc.... at their end of thinking capacities?
Why must a male-female brain-savvy talk lead to female hormones talk whenever we stress to convey our opinions out there?

I couldn't helped but be appalled at the reality of the situation.
It is lame and quite pathetic.

Normally, I would try to restrain from saying anything impolite or what-may-come-out-and-perceive-as-rude.
Usually, I would not dignify the statement or the-seemingly-redundant-conversation, with a response or a comeback.
Although at times I just couldn't stand it. Like now.

Why is it that when we are being pragmatic, we would be labelled the "strong-headed aggressive one"?
When we don't agree with your views (even if we are able to come up with better smarter points), some of you cower, clam up and then suddenly up with your PMS remark.
And when we do not tolerate any nonsense from you, you concluded that we are confirmed having PMS. SERIOUSLY!!!!

 &#!?*#?!%@!!*&#!!

A what could-be an intellectual thought-provoking debacle has turned immature and childish.
A what could-be an engaging, intriguing conversation has turned sour and deemed a total waste of our time.

As a young woman in this modern age, I do not consider myself a hard-core feminist. I do however believe in equality. We are just as capable and able as our male counterparts, if not more so in a lot of different dimensions. In the world today, gender is not an issue.
Thus, it is an unfair and unjust attempt to belittle us with a mention as naive as that, as if we only function using our hormones and not our brains. -_-
Well, it might be just my personal opinion.

And of course we have PMS. That is part of our menstrual cycle. And yes we may be hormonal at times. And that is because we freaking have estrogen in our body!!! Without it  who the hell can bear your kids? Without it, we are men and you would all fucking men!!! *ahem* No pun intended.

*psst... we don't always have a mood swing, because if we are having a full-blown swing, your head would probably be knocked a few times*
*psssttt..... we just don't like to argue with a poor debater who suka-suka bring up PMS issue whenever he has no other good points to point out*
*psssssttttt.... go back to 1960s if you still think that women should just shut up and listen all to you*

*breath in breath out*

Seriously! You have your hormones testosterone which of course, made you feel like you have to carry ego in the lower part of your body. Yet, we, your female counterparts don't go around saying "Hey, look! It's the penis talking" whenever we feel that your cocky arrogant self is out because you fail to make a clear cut winning argument.

If it is win you are after, go join a sport team. -_-
Don't be a sore loser.

Whether you are a man or woman, your work should always speak for itself. Don't be quick to throw insulting remarks when you fail to make your case. And there is certainly no absolute need to mention our hormone status or PMS.

A quote from the net, "The difference between a lady and a flower girl is not how she behaves, but how she is treated".

And Thank God I married a gentleman who respects me.

Be My Valentine!

Happy belated Valentine's Day!
Hahahaha....

A Valentine affair

First thing first... I just want to get this out of my chest. Whoever who said that 'we don't need a V-day because everyday is special with you bla bla bla' are people finding excuses to reason why they are not celebrating V-day.

It doesn't always have to be the most special romantic candlelight-balloons-teddy-flowers-roses-expensive-half-the-salary-gifts kind of over-the-top celebration.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO JUSTIFY HOW YOU CELEBATE V-DAY WITH YOUR LOVED ONES. It is not a competition. -_-

Grand extravagant gesture celebration, awesomely good for you. Very lawa for you la. If you celebrate in a more modest way, well... it's okay what!!! Just celebrate it!!!

"Everyday is special V-day with you" is ideal in the perfect world of TV but ridiculously impossible in real life, not even David-and-Victoria-Beckham or Brangelina possible. Come on, don't make the rest of us feel like losers here!

How can every single day be a special-Valentine-tinglingness for anyone?!!?? Bullpoop!
All I do everyday is go to work, stuck in jam, try to park in the jungle of concrete mess, come back from work, traffic jam, jaga anak, quick shower, try to get baby to sleep at least by 9pm, cram in study session then sleep.
After all the slavings, honestly I just want the bed.
*breath in breath out*
Yup, just the bed for the physically-drained me.

We don't even have to 'talk about our days' because everyday is frigging the same routine!!! Goodness~~

Well.... Unless you just started dating. Or hormonally imbalance. But honey, let me tell you this - that the glittering honeymoon phase is a period. It will be over after few months/years of togetherness or when you get married or after you have a child. Don't get me wrong here. You will still love one another but once you came out from your cloud nine of fluffy loves and your feet touched the firm hard surface of the earth and resumed the normality of your work/study/routine, the butterflies in the stomach feeling each time your arms brush against each other and the heart throbbing out of your chest feeling each time your lips touch, will be soon, if not fast, be replaced by just a mere sensation of touch. Hahaha. Heck, there will even be the occasional times you feel the need to restrain from killing each other. Blame it on the stresses of life.

It won't be Hollywood kisses everyday. It will however, be replaced with a warmer glow of sparkle.
Like a big teddy bear hug. A sense of belonging. A sense of familiarity.
So V-day is the day we all go out and fall in love all over again! And celebrate the love that held us together all these years. Celebrate each other!
Let the sparks or fire or candle or gas or engine oil (whatever laaaa) gleam back into one's love life!

SO HOW CAN ONE SAY BLATANTLY THAT THEY DON'T FREAKING NEED V-DAY! PLUS, IT IS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE DAY IN THE YEAR! SO YA, I'M OFFENDED.

Hahahaha...

A day to throw away the monotonous routine out to the window and dress up and go out for celebration. Hell yeah!!! Sometimes you need all these "lebih" make-believe celebrations to make our lives a little bit more gala, to make us feel a little bit more princessy, to make us feel like we also have the fairy tale lives, to pretend we also have a small bit of that Hollywood lifestyle, to find the sparkling tza tza szu and let the romance sizzles, to remind us of our courtship days and of our dating lives and simply rejoice each other...

True, it is "just another day". BUT.... Every frigging living day of your alive day will just be another day, if you keep up this poor attitude to life. Isn't that right?

So, if you take it to your heart and desire to make it different and make it spectacular, then it won't be just another day! IT WILL DEFINITELY BE A SPECIAL DAY BECAUSE YOU MADE IT SPECIAL!!!

And because it is Valentine's day... ❤️❤️❤️

Of course it doesn't have to be 14th February. Of course you can have Valentine's day everyday *coughs if you are trying to dry up your partner's money coughs*. If you insist.

So.. Okay...

Our valentine this year... First with Baby Maya!!!! It's not fireworks-super-exclusive-kind-of-celebration but it was celebrated with love and there was fireworks after all (it was also Chap Goh Mei aka the last day of CNY aka the Valentine day in lunar year) What an auspicious mark on the calendar!

I thought we are no longer in the rose-giving group of people but then, Dear Hubby gave me a beautiful red rose and chocolates bouquet. ❤️ And I was really pleasantly surprised! Really I was! *smiling like a happy fool* Baby Maya was holding the bouquet so it looked like both of them presented the bouquet to me.. *teeth smiles*

And then we had a simple dinner over at Bella Italia, my favourite Italian eatery in town.

Eager to snatch that bouquet.. So funny her expression.. ❤️Thank you Dear Hubby! ❤️

Happily destroying my rose petals... Hahaha...

Hola! Selfie!!!

And again selfie... Looking very the smart geek *smiles*

Me in a flowing dreamy dress in beautiful colour of Tiffany! ❤️
