Hello Halo Hi!

The Update…
So many things have happened in my life for the past many months. Some good, some bad. But most are just too freaking  awesome.

Let’s get busy again, shall we?

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014!!!

*no firecracker mode because it freaking made BabyMaya cried wtf*
*so just clapping and shaking hands and few yays and nodding head mode*

Happy New Year from our family!!! Hope the olds get good health, the youngs get good grades, the poor gets windfalls, the rich gets more charitable, no more wars, no more dirty politics and everybody lives harmoniously. Smile always!

To all my faithful readers, the few of you remaining, that is..... Hahaha....
Sorry for the late post and lack of update...
Busy busy running errands, transferring back to CatCity is a big nuisance - a warm welcoming kind of nuisance anyways...

I heart Kuching! I adore Kuching! And I am not even a Sarawakian
True story. Haha.

Why coming back is such a headache? Well first off - we have so much to pack (and unpack) compared to when we first moved to PineappleLand. All Baby Maya's stuffs!!!!

Her clothes, toys, bed, 'gadgets' (namely steamer + blender, steriliser, food/milk warmer, cooker, chairs, playmat, mobiles, etc), bottlesssssss, my maternity fugly clothes.....

*I can feel the headache coming again just thinking of all that*

But.. last week was spent rearranging and reorganizing all the additional cute mini things into our smaller apartment, our love nest. To commemorate and welcome her, we turned my old study room into her nursery. *heart fluttering* Had so much fun sorting and systemizing *ahem control  freak* her room into nappy station, play station, sleep station, pit stop for rest and storage area. Bought a nice charming pink kiddy cupboard for all of her clothes. I even had a small red table from Ikea for her in a nice little corner, for when she can sit and read with me.

Bought a new metal shelf to put in the kitchen for her 'gadgets'. It was easy to buy and buy and buy (for the newborn) when we were in PineappleLand because the whole freaking quarter was empty then! So it takes a truly organized person to be able to fit all those back here *ahem blowing own horn mode* And I don't mean buy-a-box-and-throw-everything-in kind or bin everything.... I mean, proper storage and functional adjustment. I just love to see everything pleasant and in their own places. :DDD

Anyways...... How was your holiday?
Mine?
Fabulous!!!

December 2013 was all about celebrations!!!

Very eventful.... Upscaling my social calendar, took every opportunities given for the vain me to come out and play dress up, make up, hair up and everything up!!! Awesomeness level upped too~~ Definitely!!!  For the first time in a loooong time, I feel like my old self again. Maybe it is because I look like my old self. Haha.

Lots of unforgettable momentous monumental memorable memories.....

Here, I will capture the few lasting moments that I had and share with all of you.

Enjoy!!!

LeSista got solemnized on the 7th December 2013..... to LeSailor....

My younger little sister... Ahhh... How time flies.....

While we were onboard, flying to Singapore (where the ceremony was held), I couldn't help but reminiscing those good old days. Why are they called the good old days? Because we can never turn back time, and undeniably, those worry-free, stress-free, bitch-free free time were the best times of one's life. We had quite the 'normal' childhood growing up. 'Normal' doesn't mean there was no cat fights, pillow fights, jealousy issues, boundary issues (we shared a room, and she was oh-not!-clean and neat and tidy, as your blogger here). Or playing inside the dog house (LOLOL!), for that matter.

SO, HERE COMES Le BRIDE!!!!!!

What a gorgeous day to get married ya! It was obvious - Love is in the air! ❤️❤️❤️
Thus the colour for the day : women red and men black & white.

Celebrating love!!!

So we went and painted the town red!!!!! Woooohooo~~~ Scarlet red dotting along the east coast of Singapore, where their registration of marriage took place. Quite the venue for a small family and close friends gathering - a charming garden-like space. Cozy! Me likey.... :)

LeBride in snowy white dress. So pure and angelic... ❤️
She was sooooo beautiful that day!
She was in a snowy white tailored-made knee-length chiffon dress with gorgeous waves of ruffles that seemed like a bubble hem! Well... it was her bubble of love day after all!!!

So dazzling and demurring!!!
And she completed her looks with a stunning statement red heels! ❤️

Baby Maya impromptuly snatched a sign with "I came for the beer!" *rofl*

The table that held the key to happily-ever-after, I-do-you-do, let's-grow-old-together.
Also the lock to your freedom. Haha.
Good luck to you, LeSailor!

Lovely idea!!! So freaking cute those little wooden pegs❤️!
A picture says a thousand words!
Thought by none other than one of her besties, or fondly known as one of her 'The Puaks'.
I have already planned to hijack the idea for my living room. Haha.

Rose petals to welcome LeBride! So beautiful.... ❤️ Multicolours...

I simply love ❤️❤️❤️ love this capture!
Walking down the aisle, father sending daughter off, big big smiles on everyone's face!
Soooo happy... *sighs* ❤️

Soon-to-be the Mr and Mrs LeSailor!

Lawfully wedded husband and wife now. Grow up liao, must learn to cherish each other and respect one another. The happy couple.

Warmest blessings from our family! ❤️
Muakss muakss...
May you lovebirds stay forever in love and have great sex everyday till death do you part! *wink*

The attractive beautiful bride! She is so so pretty ya! ❤️

Blessed with perfect weather that day. ❤️❤️❤️
Welcoming LeSailor into my crazy loud family!!!
*vessel horn blaring*

LittleDestroyer running around (amok) energetically while LittleSleepingBeauty just casually strolled along. What a contrast!

Their ROM cake and cupcakes, also white, red and black. So tasteful! Literally! ❤️

Dainty lay out luncheon! I simply love the simplicity of the design and that everything was planned with love! ❤️

Our host and hostess were very generous... Bloody expensive de lunch! I'm not complaining! LOL Sushi - my absolute favourite! Nom nom nom.....

Introducing LeBrotha, oldest flower girl of the century! Haha. LeHomemaker asked him to distribute those pandan roses bouquet and he went posing -_-
Fancy giving out nice smelling whiff of pandan roses bouquet for your guests to bring home the scent of love! ❤️
See? I told you everything was planned meticulously with love! ❤️

Even Baby Maya was in good jolly mood. With all the love flowing around that day, who wouldn't be in such a pleasant cheeky mood?

Champagne popping and of course, it was Moët. Nothing else. Class all the way! ❤️❤️ Me likey!

Yaaaaaaaaam Seeeeeng!!!! The  ceremonious cheers~ *burp*

*clink clink* Family snapshot! *click click*

Heartwarming speeches...

And finally.... LeKiss!!!!!!! ❤️

18SX. My dear nephew was either inspired, or repulsed by it. Haha.

We made them kissed for so loooong (excuse: for picture taking) and those two sporting couple obeyingly abide. Haha. PDA was totally accepted that day! Especially that day!

We enjoyed every minute and every second of it! Thank you for gracing us the opportunity to share this meaningful occasion and be a part of it!!!

Little something something from us.
Pandora charms to denote this important event of her life. The crown on the cute carriage is actually made from gold and there is a pearl sitting on it! Elegant right.
This is her fairy tale story come true and we pray for her happily ever after!

More selfies with LeBride!

In good times and in bad,
For better or for worse,
I WILL ALWAYS BE THERE FOR YOU,
Because I am your sister and I love you.

❤️❤️❤️

Back to work and preparing baby food

It is that time again.... Back To Work...

Back-to-work selfie!
New beautiful dark blue silk top for the occasion! Haha.

Some of you are, no doubt sad and depressed about it (and dreading the early morning alarm clock/ routine/ jam/ madness), while some nutty you can't wait to dive back into the competition!!

In the car.... Prepping mentally for the long day...

I had quite a long break, and so I was somewhere in between. Kinda look forward to it... Few wails but definitely many hails!

Wail to ward rounds and the intimidating Q&As.
Wail to three-point U-turn in a narrow alley in hospital compound. (really stresses me out in the mornings!)

Hail to good variety of food (enough of kampua noodles).
Hail to good music on radio (enough of the Traxx FM's fake accent).
Hail to funny fun colleagues and organized teamwork!
Hail to modern civilization!
Hail to busy tireless hurstling lifestyle!
Hail to sales and retail therapies!
Hail to engaging social life!

More selfie!

Bought this vibrant geometric pattern top at Pratunam Bangkok last two years! Only have the chance to wear after delivery...

With hair down

How was your first week back at week?
Mine?

HAVOC! Havoc havoc!
Havoc!

Even without the early morning pumpings, I still have to rush and become a mad woman before leaving the house.

Because I insist on making food for Baby Maya for the day. -_- Pushing own limits!

I don't want to retard her process of weaning, at the same time, I don't want her to eat outside salt-ajinomoto-loaded hygiene-unguaranteed food. So, I rather sacrifice my beauty sleep and wake up earlier to fulfil my desire. It's satisfying knowing that I am still giving and trying to provide her with the best that I can. It gives me a peace of mind knowing what she is having and eating.
I would probably just splurge more on facial sessions and masks to make up for the lack of sleep... *wink*

Which is why...... I have decided to cook in batches and freeze the rest for the whole week so she can eat them for lunch! Most of the working mums (that I know online) are doing that, even the recipe book and guides reckon it is safe and probably better to freeze ('freezing in' the nutrients and stalling bacteria harbouring & multiplying), then thaw when needed, than to simply refrigerate them (food oxidizes faster).

Fresh produce for the week's menu: Salmon, carrots, cauliflower, potatoes...

Introducing my best kitchen helper for this task - Phillip Avent 2-in-1 steamer and blender!!!
Super love this~~ ❤️ Makes cooking fun, pleasurable and so much easier...
With this, steaming and blending can be done in one same setting.
Less hassle, less cleaning and one satisfied mother.

Steaming in process.
Just fill in the water level to your desired time of steaming and turn the knob to "steam" sign.
And just wait! Easy peasy!!!

And when steaming is done, simply flip it over the and turn the knob to "blend" sign and blend till you get your desired food texture!!!
No need to leceh-ly scoop out and transfer here and there...
This is so much neater and convenient!!!

Voila!!! DONE!!!!

Meanwhile while waiting for the food to steam, I also baked some pumpkins. And cauliflower and potatoes. Add a blob of unsalted butter for some taste! Yum yum....

We are at the stage of trying new food texture. So I also boil some of the cauliflower. Boiling gives a more crunchy consistency, let her practise using her jaws more.

The food menu for the whole next week is done!
Each cute little container is a day's lunch.
Perfect to be eaten just like that, or you can add it into hot white congee to make a flavourful porridge!!!

Which can only mean that I can laze in bed and spend more time with her in the morning before heading out for work... :DDD ❤️❤️❤️ Awesomeness~~~

True to her core, Baby Maya loves loves rice. ❤️ She enjoys her porridge very much.

So, for this weekend special nom nom - chicken fillet and leek porridge!!!

Leeks are very fragrant, rich with minerals and excellently aromatic especially if u sauté with a generous blob of unsalted butter.
Baby Maya loves the strong taste of leeks, I reckon.
She finished the whole thing! ❤️
Naturally, and weirdly, that gives me the glow and pure gratification. ❤️❤️❤️

Personally, I feel that you don't have to serve bland and blah food to babies. Just so long you don't use salt or preservatives in her food. Take advantage of the original essence and natural nourishing goodness of the products to expose your baby to a multitude of taste and smell, so that she doesn't become a picky eater. I'm still trying to convince her that the fishy salmon is yummy good. Haha. Perseverence is the key! Haha. Good luck!

 ❤️❤️❤️

Gong Xi Fa Cai 2014!!!

A warm greeting from us!!!

Gong Xi Fa Cai to everybody!!! Hope everybody had a fabulous time, as we did, ushering the "Horse" and "Cai Shen" into your homes!

Whole year, throughout the year, we all busied ourselves with our blooming businesses and building promising career prospect.
It is during Chinese New Year, the time we leave everything else, come home for a reunion and family gathering.
I think this is a superb wonderful tradition!

And when a diverse people of different ages and backgrounds with varying interests and opinions gather around the table for that scrumptious BIG dinner, what more perfect time to update each other lives and some *ahem* kepoh-ing session.... It is hard to describe the feeling one gets around such large group of people you call family. I mean those extended ones la... A mixture of amusing excitement, curiosity, monotonous boredom, anticipation and even some mockery fun. More often than not, many of us have one of those aunts who makes life a little more interesting, a little more entertaining, who likes to ask dozens of awkward yet embarrassing questions (that most of us are also secretly dying to find out but are too courteous to ask!).

Like asking the ones in school, what grades are they getting.
And those working ones, how much are they earning.

Like asking those single ones, if they have girlfriends or boyfriends yet.
And those dating ones, when are they getting married.

Like asking those married ones, when are they going to get pregnant.
And those with baby, when is the second one coming.

And if you think you dodge the bullets as you have done all above, oh not so fast, they will ask, when and if you are planning to get a bigger house or car. Hah!

But trust me, you don't want them to skip you either! Because you WILL feel left out if you are the only cousin not getting asked those questions. Hahahahha.... *sad lame*

Every year, we celebrate CNY in the same manner.
But this year is a little more enjoyable and memorable.
Because we are bringing back Baby Maya home for this joyous occasion!!!
And I have been looking forward to this for many many weeks! Ever since I started "shopping spreed" her CNY clothes!
All our relatives are eager to see this little angel of ours. :DDDD
The best part, proudly presenting her in her cute pretty new clothes and collecting angpaos for her!!!

Very unglamourous sleeping pose of our very-much-tired-out socialite.. Hehehe..
Kinda missed the crazy explosive fireworks and popping loud firecrackers firing in the Sibu sky because we didn't want to wake (or scare, in our case) Baby Maya up.

Last selfie for the night of the Snake Year. All scrubbed clean without a trace of make up, to wake up fresh, with no "burden of past year" and gallopy energetic to the lunar Year of the Horse!!!

Too fast.... Our tight 'CNY traveling schedule' came to an end.
And down with sore throat and flu... *pfftt*

Work started today...
I've done three loads of laundry (yes, three *roll eyes too*), ironed our work clothes and packed my bag for work. Baby Maya's bag and lunches : done too.
