Spring Cleaning!

So tired!!!!!
OMG!!! Spring cleaned the house..

EXHAUSTED SIAL!!!!!

Officially green-purple-blue-yellow-rainbow-colour with envy with those of you who have mothers or lived in mother-in-law to help....  Thank and appreciate them, you people!

You can check out my previous post and see how I successfully made Dear Hubby cleaned out! *ROLF* Best way!!!

*Fuh* Anyhow, the final result was pure satisfaction in knowing that I cleared away the collected dust and threw the bad chi of last year.. And creating a fresh new start for Chinese New Year 2014!!! I super pantang with all these things la, credits to LeHomemaker la!!!

Ushering in the new year with a clean 'energy' and Heng Heng vibe!!! Hahahha...

Now... if you believe fengshui like I do (or some other cultural pantangs --> the only one that I REFUSED to believe is the confinement ones LOL), then you will understand why Chinese clean the house up and down left and right every year before the big first day of CNY and why we like to decorate our house AND OURSELVES with everything new, hence the new clothes and new shoes too! I am not a true fengshui avid, as in I don't pay five-digit amount for 'master' to fengshui-ly revamp our house, nor do I sit and cry and be depressed if someone tells me not so good news regarding my Chinese zodiac bla bla bla bla... But.... if someone tells me that by wearing certain colour of clothes or certain gems or by hanging certain 'amulet' can defer from lurking evil or bad chi or prevent gossipy 'enemy' talking behind my back bla bla bla , I just follow. No harm ma...

Plus it's super fun to shop for new clothes colour and faux pearls or gold or silver to 'counteract' the bad signs. I'm that kind of fengshui believer. Haha.

The last week was super fun (other than the boring mundane details of spring cleaning over the weekend). Why? Because SHOPPING la!!!! Hahaha... And because I did not get the chance to buy CNY clothes last year (I was almost term in my pregnancy so I did not want to spend the money buying some XXXL clothes that do no good in my wardrobe or self-image) so this year Dear Hubby was sooooo lovingly kind and let me splurge like crazy. Feel so disayangi.... To compensate, he said. ❤️❤️❤️ Super lucky me! Hell ya! Time to look good again wey!!!! Time to spend some cash $$$!!!

I had my funs of online shopping in PineappleLand. So from personal experience, I still prefer going to the malls and shop. Strolling along the corridors, caressing the clothes, touching the silky smooth clothes, stroking the pearly sequin, trying out the garments, one by one, taking my sweet time testing the flow of the texture on my skin, twirling to see if the jeans hugs my new-found post-baby body, see if that sheer dress fits, putting on new colour and experimenting with new styles and simply mix and match in the changing room. Well, honestly that's the fun of shopping right!!! Haha..
Not just click and purchase and wait dot dot dot.....

So anyways, here are my preparation for the gong xi gong xi event!

Selfie first laaaaaa...... *teeheehee*

I Say He Says - Clean The Windows

Me: I have to clean the windows today... Also vacuum and mop and clean toilets and etc
Dear Hubby: Okay la... I wanna go cycling, very long never cycle dy..
Me: Oh okay... But can you be here while I clean the windows?
Dear Hubby: Why? Baby is sleeping dy..
Me: In case I dangle from our window, you can pull me up. If not, I'll drop, break my neck and die..

That was how my husband 'helped out' and cleaned all the windows in our 4th floor apartment. *wink*

Keep Calm and Be Awesome

Keep calm and be awesome!
As I mentioned, December was a month of celebration. Here goes!

Super cuteness! So fat her cheeks!

December has always been EVERYONE'S favourite month of the year! With all those Christmas shoppings to be done, perfecting that special menu, challenging yourselves trying to host the awesome-ness-est party of the year, (still) trying to fulfill the year's resolutions...

Tis the season to be jolly! Indeed!!!

Well, as for us....

As the year draws to an end, I was just looking forward to the long-deserving break. After beating the mad dash (attended postgrad interview in KL *crossing fingers and toes* *crossing eyes too* *if I can cross my ears I would*, flew back to Sarawak and transferred my stuffs back to CatCity) and completing the exhaustive errands, quite honestly I was overwhelmed. Burnt out. I am truly sorry for not being able to attend all of the many many of wedding marathons. But you know our blessings are with all of you.

Which was why, Dear Hubby and I agreed on a fuss-free, simple, quiet Christmas celebration, here right, at home for Baby Maya's first Christmas. Silent night. :)

CELEBRATE THE FESTIVE SEASON!!!

Jeng jeng jeng!!! *drumrolls* Proudly presenting our Christmas tree!!!

It was just a medium size plastic tree, but it was ours! So it was magnifico to me~~~

Pretty lights...

Ornaments were chosen with love and hung with love... I simply love the dangling glittering bits!!!

After Baby Maya fell asleep, both Dear Hubby and I sat on the couch and admired the tree.
Silently reflecting on the year and solemnly counting our blessings....
I told him (at that spur of moment) it reminded me of a part in a movie - sitting infront of the fireplace in a wood cabin in the middle of the jungle during winter kind of feel (Haha) - and he totally ignored me. Cheh!

Unraveling our Christmas dinner spread.... Cooked and baked with love from yours truly kitchen...

Scrumptious healthy meal: Started off with hearty creamy mushroom soup; main course of baked chicken thigh with crusty sweet skin, mashed potatoes with a side of mixed vege.

CELEBRATE THE JOY OF GIVING!!!

Our gift to Baby Maya! With this baby blue walker, she can be mobile and moves around the house.. The fact that we don't have to always have to carry her around doesn't hurt too. Haha.

Yes, Mummy knows you love it!

Tiny pudgy hand in action... *teeheehee* Expertly exploring...

"Oh I want this big one!"

"Ohhhhh I want this small gold ball too!"

A splendid simple long necklace! Totally me... *swooning* Thank you Dear Hubby!

A sweet end to the perfect night: a bottle of sweet purple cocktail and a Christmas fruitcake!

A Christmas selfie! My adorable reindeer!!!

Savouring baby cereal and banana...

She grabbed a present from under the tree and hid under my table....
My dear girl - super fail at hide-and-seek. Haha.

CELEBRATING A WHOLE NEW YEAR!!!

New Year's eve lunch: Baked salmon patty, cheesy potatoes and healthy crunchy greens...
Hot from kitchen... *nom nom*

Vanity affair: Dressing up for a Christmas/New Year party cum dinner...

Another selfie....

And another before heading out... Haha... Couldn't help it!

A family portrait! Wishing all my readers a wonderful year 2014 ahead and may all of you stay awesome, enjoy awesomeness and achieve great fabulousness!!! And enjoy my post!!!

After our new year pizza 'party' with a few close friends, alas quietly at home, and as I jot down my 2014 new year's resolutions and took down the last of our Christmas ornament, I couldn't help but feel excited as CNY draws nearer!!! And I can't wait to add some bright brave red into our home!
